About The Role
We are a start-up in stealth mode looking to build up our team and we are looking for a Project Manager who will be responsible for preparing and executing a gaming project spanning across numerous countries.
The ideal candidate will report directly to the CEO and work closely and coordinate with other members of the team to ensure project success.
This role is eligible for work from home (WFH) initially with the occasional requirement to travel abroad for training. Eventually relocation (expenses covered by the company) to Gambia will be required to ensure project completion.
Objectives of this Role:
- Relocation to build a team and office infrastructure of ~40 team members in Gambia to execute a manual online game data harvesting project
- Work closely with industry veterans abroad who will help with preparation of project plans and assist throughout the project
- Ensure success post-completion by building a long-term process team
Additional Daily Responsibilities:
- Build and manage project management systems to track resources, budget, and deliverables from project start to completion
- Measure, analyze, and report on project status, sharing all relevant project updates with stakeholders
- Coordinate, delegate, allocate, and track tasks across all aspects of the project
- Maintain project vision and bring up challenges or risks as and when they arrive
The Ideal Candidate:
- Enjoys being the go-to person for all aspects relating to a project and is proactive with managing and coordinating projects
- A stable and calm personality, adept at handling and mitigating issues
- Highly capable and passionate about seeing things through to completion with the ability to take accountability for any outcomes
- Has strong analytical skills and ability to research information to provide answers
- Is self-motivated, with a problem-solving attitude and the ability to take the initiative and work independently
- Willingness to move from Project Management to Process Management within a short timeframe
- Able to work with a diverse and multicultural team with a natural curiosity about and empathy for others
- Ideally has already lived abroad and would like the opportunity to live in a foreign country
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Higher level educational background, preferably relating to Project Management
- Basic interest and knowledge of the Information Technology industry
- 1+ year (s) working experience as a Project Manager
- Fluent in English with great communication, listening and influencing skills; high emotional intelligence
- Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall Project Management techniques
- Must be able to travel abroad for work requirements
