Scope of Work
Title: B2B Market Manager for the Ukraine Harvest Activity
Location: Kyiv, Ukraine (on-site)
Project Description: Ukraine Harvest Activity (Harvest), USAID (2024−2029)
J.E. Austin Associates, Inc (JAA) is a subcontractor to Chemonics International in the Ukraine Harvest Activity, an initiative funded by USAID to boost the agricultural productivity and market accessibility of Ukrainian farmers. This project focuses on enhancing the supply of high-quality inputs, agronomic support, and extension services, while also working to establish robust market linkages, particularly with the EU.
Under the leadership of JAA, Objective 2 of the project specifically aims to improve farmers' access to profitable markets. This is achieved through strengthening the market position of small and medium enterprise (SME) farmers, reducing logistics costs via digitalization and optimized strategies, and expanding business-to-business (B2B) connections through industry events, trade missions, and buyer visits. This comprehensive approach is designed to increase production, access to diverse markets, and profitability for Ukrainian farmers, contributing significantly to the region’s food security and economic resilience.
Job Description and Overall Responsibilities:
The B2B Market Manager will focus on the marketing and promotion of agricultural crops and vegetable oils to business clients. The B2B Market Manager will be responsible for crafting and implementing innovative marketing strategies to promote Ukrainian agricultural produce to businesses and consumers worldwide, ensuring the products reach and penetrate the target markets effectively. The B2B Market Manager must possess a blend of analytical and creative skills, with a passion for agricultural development and a keen understanding of international market dynamics.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing marketing strategies that effectively communicate the value and quality of Ukrainian crops and vegetable oils to a B2B audience.
- Conducting market research to identify new business opportunities and understand the needs of international buyers.
- Crafting tailored value propositions and sales pitches for various market segments and buyer clients within the agribusiness sector.
- Collaborating with producer organizations and logistic teams to align marketing efforts with supply capabilities and logistic feasibilities.
Job Qualifications:
- Degree in Marketing, International Business, Agricultural Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- A minimum of 1 year of professional experience in marketing roles with a deep understanding of B2B dynamics.
- Practical experience in developing and implementing marketing campaigns.
